Cody Musser vs Internet: Take Two!

I just wanted to post something ... anything, to get myself going again. Did I mention that I've always been this tough. I mean, god, look at me... that stare can shatter the will of fucking grizzlies!

Here's something I wasn't really expecting. EA's Army of Two has some of the nicest cover art I've seen this side of all the Steelbook and Collector's Edition fare that loads the shelves these days. I'm all for the extra content, and I love a sexy Steelbook, but when a company puts their asses in gear and makes a standard case look like something stellar, that deserves a little praise. Here's hoping they don't go tweaking or fiddling around with this cover; it's beautiful just the way it is.

The game itself is another issue, but I'll be honest and say that I'm more excited for this than I was for Black, EA's last fledgling shooter franchise. The humor and deep co-op gameplay look really interesting, and the aggro system seems wonderfully orchestrated. Something tells me I'll end up buying this, just unfortunately long down the road from its release.

I'm all for mature games, but maybe Riviera's PSP rehash has gone too far. There is one precise location for bukkake parties ... and my PSP is not it. Get ready for the resurgence of "Porn on Your Child's Videogame System" on Channel 4 News.

All joking aside ... widget work is proceeding forward, although slowly. My movie links are back in action and stronger than ever before. It only took a Bonds-ian level of steroids to get them going too! More posts soon to come.

In Taiwan there is a lantern festival to celebrate the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calender. Traditionally, the residents select some form of animal and create a massive papercraft lantern of their choice beast. Is there a word that describes how awesome it is to see a somewhat realistically scaled Gundam? I can't seem to put my finger on anything other than boss. Endgadget is reporting that the lantern is 1:1 scale, but it is actually 1:2.5, making it a little less than half the monstrosity that a true Gundam would be.

Did I ever lead on that I'm actually permanently jacked in to the Intronetspace. Since the birth of hypertext itself I've just been sort of hanging back, assimilating information, streaming my consciousness into all your desktop machines without your knowledge. I'm poised, like Skynet, for one massive strike in which I finally cease to be jacked in, and ultimately become ... jacked off. I'll let loose my horde of virus sperm across the desktops of millions. Proof, you ask?

I apologize for my intermittent posting attitude, these are the weighty days of an approaching midterm, coupled with the unbridled anticipation of GDC, and here I am, left flopping like a fish out of water.

I'm obviously in celebration mode, as my Videogames and Art paper became a mightily popular force, and thus resulted in more than 2500 visits to this here blog. Which is something like, 2480 more than it would normally receive. I hope my content is sufficiently cool enough to keep the occasional guest returning. I can only think of one possible way to celebrate this achievement.

Instead of actually doing anything I should absolutely be working on right now, I'm spending my time doing basically nothing of any real value or worth. I can't even be bothered enough to make a worthwhile Blog post, so instead I'll just post this picture depicting one of the various outlets my time is being wasted upon.



I'm not even spending my time with Gears of War (my mistress), or Final Fantasy XII (my wife). I should probably try to get in as much of both as I can before, you know, THAT DAY. The day my mistress and wife are quickly replaced with my unwavering crack cocaine addiction (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess).

Yes, I sum my life's passions with video game launches. I'm sorry.
